Happy Birthday Tyler!

This weekend we celebrated Tyler's first birthday. I love my kids birthdays. It is one day just about them, and I love to make it the best possible. I have included a slide of Tyler's first year, and there are a lot of pictures. Tyler was not expected and the timing seemed so wrong, because of my dads passing, but he has been one of the greatest blessings ever! He has always been a calm baby and really loving. His first days of life were really hard, but he was so worth it. I can't believe it has already been a year. I love you Tyler!

Soccer Monsters!

This weekend the older two boys started soccer. It was freezing that morning, but the boys still went and played. Dilan's team played first and if you have never seen little pre K kids play soccer, then you have missed an extremely funny part of life. Dilan's team was so confused at what they were supposed to be doing that they ended up scoring a few goals for the opposite team......It was hilarious! Then Trev played an hour after Dilan's game was over. Trev took the first kick of the game, and he ran it right into the goal. It was the only goal his team got, because after that both teams woke up. His whole team did really well, and they were actually in positions. It was a really good game, and the whole team did awesome!

Future Firefighters!

We always go to Chick-fil-A on Wednesday nights, because they offer kids meal free with the purchase of a meal. That means even with Spencer upsizing his meal, we can all eat for around $15. That for us is a cheap night out. This week they had a firetruck there, and that had a firefighter take you around and show you all the compartments of the firetruck. It was awesome! Trev would get so excited, and then he would try to open the next one. He never could get them open...ha ha! Then they got to wear the hat and climb inside. It was a lot of fun to watch them get so excited. Bryson pushed something on the truck and it started leaking water. The firefighter was so awesome about this. He said you are a mischevious little guy, I bet you are two. Bryson said yup, I am two. It was a fun night out to eat. Thanks South Jordan Firefighters!

Crazy Weekend of Trevor's 7th birthday and Easter!

This weekend was just crazy for us. It was a really fun weekend, but very busy. Saturday we went to the morning egg hunt at the park by us, and we even got to see the Easter bunny. Bryson grabbed one egg and took off. He was so happy to have gotten one egg. It is crazy how the parents get at these events. I think they totally loose all control! Then Sunday we woke the boys up to find their first egg clue. We do a scavenger hunt for them to find their baskets. This year I got clip art off the computer for their clues. They have to look in bathtubs, dishwasher, stove, microwaves, in trees, the mailbox etc. It is a lot of fun for them, and they do it over and over. They were happy with what they got. Then we made barbecue pulled pork sandwiches in the crock pot for the family party later. I also made the bunny cake. Trev asked me to make him a bunny cake for his birthday, and luckily I knew how. My mom had made these for us as a kid, so Thanks mom! At my mom's we had both families over for a big dinner, easter egg hunt provided by Nana, cake and Ice cream, and a lot of fun. Trev said it was the best Birthday Easter ever. The next morning Spencer got them up to go to the bathroom before he went to work. He tucked them back in and closed the door. He turned to go up the stairs and heard somebody behind him. There stood Trev, and he gave Spencer a huge hug and said thanks again dad for the best Birthday Easter! I guess we did good this year. I hope the slide show works. I have never done this, but needed a good way to add lots of photos. (thanks ang)

Do I really look like a Whore?

I've decided to try this blog thing out, and found my experience yesterday to be a great start.....

So, yesterday I took the boys to the Dinosaur museum in Ogden. We had some gift certificates for a pass and they expired yesterday. It was a rainy day, and not really the best day for the dinosaurs, but I had to get the pass. We played in the rain and surprising enough, it turned out to be a great day. It was 12:45 when we started heading home. I asked the boys if they would like to get lunch on the way home, because I hadn't eaten a thing, and could tell they were getting hungry. So, we stopped at the McDonalds in Bountiful. I knew they had a play place, and it was a good midpoint home. Well, of course the place was packed and we had to sit outside the play area. A lady working there was playing with Bryson from a distance. After she had finished her lunch break she came over and asked me if all the boys were mine. I get this question a lot! She didn't speak very good english and asked me if from uno hombres? I just kept looking at her, because I wasn't sure what she was really asking me. Then she finally got out, "All from one man?" I was shocked. I mean I don't really see myself as the whore type. These days I don't find myself all that cute, so I can honestly say she blew me away! I just smiled and said yes, they have the same father. I gathered our stuff and left, but seriously kept thinking what they hell?
