Blue or Pink?

Who would think blue and pink could be so controversial? I found this little pink and blue box on the internet. It claims it can predict the sex of your baby as early as ten weeks. I thought that was so awesome, and how much fun would it be to get maybe a little glimpse as to what was actually going on with my baby. You can buy this test at Walgreens for five dollars cheaper than you can on the Intelligender.com site. The controversy behind the test is that some people may want a boy, and when they get a girl result, decide to terminate the pregnancy based completely on the gender. Now the company claims it is 90% accurate, but studies have found it closer to 80%. They will not sell this product in China and other oversea countries that long for one sex over another for this very reason. I thought this was actually really sad. I have wanted a girl, because who doesn't want at least one of each, but I would never think about killing my beautiful baby boy to get one. I on the other end took this test, because it sounded like a fun thing to do in all the misery of the first months of pregnancy. I was amazed when our first answer was girl. I thought well maybe it isn't that accurate. I ended up actually taking two of these test...ha ha. I took one at 10 weeks and another at 16 weeks. They both said girl, but I was still absolutely shocked when the ultrasound tech told us for sure we were having a GIRL!!!

Halloween Fun!

We had a fun Halloween, actually they seem to just get more and more fun. This year we were so busy that I decided I would just help the boys carve pumpkins during the day while Spencer was at work, what was I thinking? Some reason when I said it, I never thought about having to actually carve 5 pumpkins, all the scrapping of goo..EWW! I did make the boys work on them while I helped another one, but really I did most of it. I didn't even get a finished picture of each of their pumpkins...darn! They were really cute digging in though. Halloween day was so busy. I had some shopping I had to get done in the morning, and I have a great husband that got everybody ready while I was taking care of some business. Then we headed to visit my mom, his dad, and his mom. The boys got loaded with candy. They had already had school parties, and grandpa's work party that had loaded them, but what is Halloween with out trick or treating? They only went down one street basically in our neighborhood, and were loaded! I have weighed the candy in at 19 lbs. Then we headed to my friend Charlotte's house. The boys love going here and couldn't wait till we went. We ended up staying here till after 11 and I am sure they were glad to see us go, but seriously they are so fun to be with. All in all, I am so glad Halloween is over, because I don't want to hear about costumes again for a long time...ha ha
